IS THE AIR UNSAFE!

It’s unspoken of bitterness in the Ugandan military ranks over a shocking three MI 24 chopper crash accident and further still seven servicemen found solace with their creator in these crashes that occurred on Sunday 12 August 2012.

Wait that’s not all, just as I was still thinking about putting up this blog post, a civilian aircraft in Sudan claims another 32 people  in south Kordofan(Would have been more if there were more on board) including a minister for religious affairs en route to attend Eid celebrations.

And yet again as i drafted this blog, another aircraft downed in Masai Mara game reserve claiming two more lives all in a space of just two weeks!

Does this make airspace unsafe for us? does it read that alot is still wanting with aircraft flying in EastAfrica?

The answers may not come today or soon but from the look of things, there is something we are not doing right. The late John Garang the former SPLA boss succumbed to a chopper crash too! investigations of all types were done but to date, am yet to know their impact on the Aviation authorities in the region.

But however to start with the East African Aviation school in Soroti Uganda has had turbulence of fuel scarcities for training, mega corruption scandals and inefficient study time for it’s students.

That should send spiraling questions on the safety of our airspaces in the future!
