THE NEW CITY

Today, we drove through the city, to take marvel of the magnificent spring of buildings that chase the clear blue skies, we drove to admire the blend of Peoples as they trailed the busy streets to place food on their tables, we drove to taste the flat surface of tarmac that  pastes the stretch of road. We drove to inhale the fresh breath the patched city once had.

Along the road, were sketches of tarmac often punctuated by deep dug ponds I guess by the might of the tyres here. The stretch was closely guarded by clamped down pavements whose yearn for water was clear to my eyes. They rose up in tide with poles tangled by thin chain metal only broken a few times by a drainage or human passage.

To both my sides, the buildings paid homage to all form of posters leading to both real, quack businesses and nonexistent ones too. The streets hardly breathed with litter suffocating each gasp they held, the environment neither had a better time, with it, were stage possessed humans, to all directions out of this mess they chanted often breaking to abuse or appreciate God’s creation.

Old engines puffed into its face the worst they could offer as it’s custodians’ stomachs stretched further with incentive to kill. It could  hold further no more.

The peoples faces lay displayed across the filthy old streets, each wearing a mean look size-able enough to tell lunch was an illusion. They were fed up, you needed not glasses to see it.
